2007 – 2008 Access for 100% Attendance Access Ford & Access Chevrolet have partnered with Calallen, Robstown and Tuloso-Midway ISD’s to promote student success. Access Ford & Access Chevrolet are giving a new car to one student in each ISD. Students qualify for the drawing by achieving 100% attendance. Students have the potential of their name being entered into their ISD’s drawing up to 38 times; One opportunity for each week of 100% attendance*. Students, who complete a week with 100% attendance, will also receive a “Week of 100% Attendance Ticket” to take home and show to their families*. Drawings will be held next spring after the schools submit their lists of those students with 100% attendance. Danny Jennings, General Manager of Access Chevrolet, says “It is really important that students strive for 100% attendance because of classroom instruction. On average there are 180 days of instruction each year. It’s very important that they don’t miss any school”.
“Hopefully, this campaign will create conversations with our students, their families, teachers and even our community. We know that in order for students to maximize their potential, they need to be in school to participate in the experience that has been prepared for them.”
”Students who do not attend regularly run the risk of falling behind. School attendance can become challenging if that happens”.
“Being there and ready to go is a lifelong pattern that begins in school and transcends to the local workforce”. Access Ford & Access Chevrolet are proud to support and encourage the students at our local ISD’s in their goal of 100% attendance. *Calallen ISD is participating every six weeks.
